What's special over Canon?

So, if you ask me how's my working experience for the break of year 2011/12. Here you go ;)


1. There is so-called "CANON SONG" will be play every morning 8.30am to remind that you have to start your work now. Quite motivating anyway!

2. They will be having a morning greetings every Morning or the next day of working day if Monday is a holiday. There is a schedule that indicate which department were allocate to which week. The respective department will be going around the building to greet all Canon colleague. I am lucky that i am able to join in as the scheduled colleague have just left Canon. Was surprised by the office placement for each floor. Is different from another.

3. The first Monday of the month will be greet by Canon management. This will be very special as they will be giving something to everyone. I got a famous amous cookies for my first day of working as it is a coincident  where i come in on the first Monday of December. The fruits that show above was gifted on Jan 2012.

4. They are not paper-less company. Everything was quite manual and always surprise me that a Japan company is still using manual process. They are trying their best to convert anyway. Is just i not too sure when is going to be done.

5. I've attended ISO training. Is quite weird as they still give training although i am just working for 2 months. I guess the induction was fixed on certain quarter or months. Maybe i am just too lucky to joined in the Jan induction training. By the way, i learn a lot through that training anyway!

6. The envelop showed above was gave by Canon as well. I guess this might be indicate as an "angpow" from Canon. But, will it be too early as Chinese New Year is still two weeks more? @.@ I am not sure about it but, surprisingly i have mine although i am a temp staff! You can see that the amount is not that less anyway!

7. Their building is nice but not inside. Or i should say i have high expectation over Canon?

8. Their level of reporting is lesser. If not mistaken, i report to my manger -> report to ass. director --> president.

9. Their medical benefit is A LOT. of course not for me yet!

10. I have officially worked there for 1 months. and 3 weeks more to go!
